Wax Removal Irrigation

Irrigation uses a gentle stream of warm water to lift the wax out of the ear and is preferred by some clients.

We use the most up to date irrigation system available.  This system is regulated to make the pressure safe for your ear canal and automatically warms the water to the correct temperature preventing a caloric effect and preventing dizziness.

We are fully certified to perform irrigation and are more than happy to perform this service if it is your preferred method of wax removal.

Irrigation has received bad press recently and is usually confused with syringing which is unsafe, as the pressure is unregulated.  Another reason that irrigation is dismissed is the advising clinician may not of obtained their competency in performing the procedure and may only be trained in microsuction. Irrigation is safe to use unless you have had a perforated ear drum and/or a recent ear operation.
